Secure Assure

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or a small phone screen. This statement explains how we test the site, what we found and how to tell us about a problem.

This statement applies to secureassure.co.uk. We change the look of the site from time to time; every design is tested in the same way before it goes live.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA, the standard used by UK public sector websites.

How we test

On 28 October 2026 we tested every page of the site:

  • Automated checks: every page was checked against the WCAG 2.2 level A and AA rules that can be tested automatically, on a desktop-sized screen and on a phone-sized screen.
  • Small screens and zoom: every page was checked at 320 pixels wide, the narrowest phone width in the guidelines, to make sure nothing has to be scrolled sideways to be read.
  • Keyboard: the first key press on each page offers a “Skip to content” link, every link and button can be reached with the keyboard, and the item you are on is always clearly highlighted.
  • Structure: each page has one main heading, headings in a logical order, the page language set to English and text descriptions for images.
  • Movement: if you have asked your device to reduce motion, the moving parts of the design stop.

What we found

The automated checks found no failures on any page. Our own checks found two problems, both now fixed: on the narrowest phones the spam check on the contact form was wider than the screen, and some large decorative lettering did not have enough contrast. The lettering is decoration only and is hidden from screen readers; it is now drawn in a way that does not affect the page text.

Known limitations

  • The contact form spam check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. It normally works without you doing anything, but it is a third-party service we do not control. If it causes you any difficulty, please phone us instead.
  • Automated testing cannot check everything. We have not yet had the site reviewed by people using screen readers and other assistive technology, so we do not claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA. We will carry out that review and update this statement.
